
Preparing for our sessions
Our time together is very sacred. In order to get the most from your session and to ensure success, the following are helpful hints to help you best prepare for your session.
- Please be in a private and comfortable space during your session. We will be addressing emotions and experiences from your life and confidentiality is a priority.
- You may find it helpful to have a notebook or journal during sessions. Recording your awarenesses, assignments, contemplations deepens the connection with yourself and assists you between sessions in recalling and overriding the unconscious.
- Please have water or something to drink available and close by. Often our nervous system becomes activated when we are processing emotions. Having cool water or hot tea assists the body in regulating the nervous system.
- Often clients feel the need for quiet reflection after coaching experiences with Melissa Shakti. It is recommended that you leave time and space after your appointment for journaling, meditation, contemplation, or to simply rest before returning to life's activities. It is recommended to have aĀ minimumĀ of 30 minutes for post session integration.Ā
- Honoring the sacred nature of energy and transpersonal healing enhances the experience itself and allows you the full benefit of each session. Please refrain from any substance use during or directly after your session with Melissa Shakti. This includes (but is not limited to) alcohol, nicotine, marijuana, and illicit drugs. Any client displaying signs of use during the experience will forfeit the session and the session will be ended.Ā
- Local clients: when booking your sessions, please take note of times available for in-person and virtual sessions. Please note, in-person sessions are not guaranteed but can be requested at the time of booking
